Tools For Maintaining Your Project 365

You may have heard the term, Project 365 and wondered what you need to do every day for a year? Take pictures of course! A Project 365 involves taking one picture every day for an entire year. I first hear about a Project 365 from the Photojojo website.

Now you know what it is, but now the why. It was started as a way to improve your photography skills by practicing every day. The more pictures you take, the better you will become. I always see it as an opportunity to document the little things in our lives. When taking a picture every day, you become more creative with your subjects. Instead of always photographing the big events like birthdays and holidays, you begin to capture the small things like your pantry and dinner.

I have been participating in a Project 365 for about 5 years now. I am not fanatical about it. If I miss a day or two, that’s ok. It has become such a natural part of my life now that I don’t really think about it anymore. My family is used to me taking pictures of everything.

There are so many tools available to make participating in a Project 365 a bit easier.

Daily Booth – Take a picture online or with your iPhone Daily Booth app.

Daily Mugshot – Daily Mugshot is great if you want to take a picture of a person every day. You can set up reminders so you don’t forget.

Project365 iPhone App – Helps you track your photos you take each day on your iPhone.

Photo 365 - Another App for the iPhone (and iPad) to keep track of your daily photos. This is the one I use because it shows the pictures on a calendar.

Everyday for iPhonee – This works best if you take a picture a day of a person.

Many of these are iPhone Apps because our phones are great tools for a Project 365 since most of us have our phones with us all the time. Now that the camera on our phones are decent, it is one of the best tools available.
