My daughter turns 10 today and I can’t wait for this birthday to be OVER! She has been talking about her birthday for the past 6 months.  The party…her outfit…her hair….her manicure…blah blah blah. I can’t take it anymore.

After this weekend, I will be free of all talk of birthday celebrations and parties. She’ll have her official 10 year old birthday “bash” on Saturday. It took me forever to finally decide what to do for her.

There is so much pressure placed on me to make this day great. My girl gave me a long list of things she wanted to do for the celebration. Why can’t we just bake a cake and be done with it? She won’t have that. There has to be an “event” with “friends”. Well, I don’t like events (that I have to pay for) and I certainly don’t like the idea of being around a bunch of 10 year olds listening to Big Time Rush and talking about Justini Bieber.

I can’t wait for this party to be over.
