What $300 Gets You at Zara, Uniqlo and Barneys
Racked recently did a store comparison of Zara, Uniqlo and Barneys; and shared what $300 could get you at each store. I loved the post so much that I scooped the entire thing. But, I did want to add a few style notes to the purchases:
- Zara ~ they showed six pieces with two pieces being items you’ll have for years to come (necklace, hat); the necklace dresses up any look and the hat — we all love/need the oversized floppy for our time in the Italian countryside or touring the Greek islands
- Uniqlo ~ they snagged 11 items of which five will add to any existing closet (belt, hat, striped tee, white blazer, full skirt); baseball caps are tired so a straw hat is always a winner, and a striped tee and blazer add a touch of zip and polish with anything including jeans
- Barneys ~ only two pieces but the shoes are fabulous…they’ll be a winner with a maxi dress but go just as well to a dinner on the beach or date night!
- Style notes: you get what you pay for; it’s not about quantity – better to focus on quality; and consider your style and your wardrobe, and then think about the one or two purchases that would kick your look up a notch!
Which items are your favorites/must-haves?
Do you want your own list of how to spend $300 and get the biggest bang for your buck?
