Pam Perry Coming Clean, Changing Gears, Repenting
What happens when you have a great idea, a plan, a new venture – a new partner (gulp) and you’re ready to rock this thing – BUT you hit a brick wall?
All that glitters ain’t always gold. I learned that lesson BIG TIME.
I felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy wasn’t in Kansas anymore
– she had entered a new land and was searching for the Yellow Brick Road.

Her adventure led to discover that there was no “Wizard of Oz” that could help her. What she realized was she already had everything she needed – it was already inside of her.
Dang! What did I miss? Somebody should’ve told me. I had the answers with me all the time.
My brand was about to be diluted and stolen in the land of “slick words, tech savvy” wizardry.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
I was seeking another level in my business but not listening to GOD and I got into trouble.
It’s like the Lion not knowing he had courage, or the Tin Man not knowing he had heart or the Scarecrow not knowing he had the smarts. God had given me capacity, the experiences, the wisdom to do everything I needed – on my own.
But I missed it. I partnered with the wrong person – and he was telling me things that were contrary to my brand and using “internet marketing” tricks he learned over the years.
You know I’m not against technology, marketing or salesmanship but prayer is FIRST.
Listening in the “still small voice,” I should have paid attention to the RED FLAGS.
Jeremiah warned: “Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit” (Jeremiah 7:8).
Lessons learned:
- Trust can never be bought. No matter how convincing your “sales” copy or long sales letters are, you can never buy trust – it is earned. People BUY on impulse – but they become real customers through relationship. Reputations take time to build but can be destroyed overnight.
- Do not let anyone tell you that what you’re doing is wrong – if you’ve been doing it that way and have had a successful brand for years. It may be that they just want to “hijack” your brand and steal what you’ve been doing for years.
- Never be intimidated by those who know technology better than you. Just because they can throw up a flashy website and write some sizzling copy, doesn’t mean you don’t know how to connect with YOUR customer and how to SERVE them.
- Just because a person talks a good game – doesn’t mean they really know how to deliver. This is the main lesson I learned that almost cost me my business, my reputation and my brand. When you are a trustworthy person, you pretty much assume other people will walk in integrity too. Oh, my, was I ever wrong.

After I realized my “mistake” for getting into a BAD partnership, my first question I asked myself was how did I let this happen? I have worked hard to build my brand and my reputation in the Christian book market helping authors with their publicity and helping churches with their ministry marketing. Many have copied me – but this is the first time anyone has tried to take over everything.
How could I let this happen?
Oh, the “partnership” was fine for a while. But then when everything was to get on track for the clients, it wasn’t going right. Something was NOT clicking.
Clients were not happy. Promises were not being fulfilled. All talk. No action. And the other person went into hiding – and a series of “half truths” began to surface.
Not good. I am in business to serve not swindle.
I believe God gave me the vision for Ministry Marketing Solutions and Pam Perry PR to help others “market their message.” That has not changed. That is who I am – to the core. God has anointed and appointed me to run this business – not to hand it over to someone who has learned some saucy sales techniques or greedy motives.
Do you know we serve a God that gives us the answer at the beginning? It’s in us.
If God gives you the vision, He’ll give your provision. All we have to do is have the heart, courage and wisdom to step up and do it.
But you know what? I’m not mad. I just have to repent and change. And if I had not went through what I did, I would have even dared to change for the better. See the new Pam at www.PamPerryPR.com
I have a sign near my desk that says, “Adjust or Self-destruct.” It reminds me to stay fluid. Don’t get depressed when things don’t work out – just keep it moving. Ask God for direction and be willing to do the work! He will work it out, all things will work together for good.
I have to apologize to anyone who has been following me for a period of time and seen how my brand almost got “hijacked.” There was a lot of “brand confusion” going on. Sorry about that.
I will never compromise my brand again.
What about you? Has anything like this ever happened to you?
How did you handle it?
This Scripture really came to life for me:
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm 118:8
Note: This blog post represents my thoughts, opinions and feelings and in no way are intended to slander any individual

Pam, I’m happy to hear that you’re free now and back on the plan God has for you. The devil is always busy, but by sharing, you’ve helped many! I know the message came right on time for me as I come up on the 12-Year Anniversary of our group. Much love to you…
You Rock Ms. Rawsistaz!
It’s been much too long, Pam! We should catch up soon.
Yes!
Yes Pam…all the time. There are very few originators, but lots of Imitators. People are too lazy to seek and get a ‘God idea,’ so they steal yours! But there is a God that sits high and looks low…..Amen!
Thanks for your comment Brenda.
Thanks Tee! Congrats to you. Wow. We are almost teenagers! Lol
Awesome Tee. I so admire you, you help forge the black book market too.
And Brenda, I love your comment. I’m going to put that saying on a t shirt.
Thanks for your support.
Thank you for your transparency, Pam! Remember Psalm 105:15. This just proves you on the verge of something BIGGER and more fabulous! With love from one of your many mentorees from afar!
love you and yes, fabulous things for those who love God. Romans 8:28 … Our motto!
Pam – I thank God for you and I especially thank Him for protecting you. Today I had to declare out loud “No weapon formed against me shall prosper. None!” as a way to remain inspired in the face of negativity. I quietly prayed for you as I read your post. Stay the course my sister because you are truly a blessing! No weapon formed against you shall prosper… none!
Thank you Rev. Sheryl, I appreciate your prayers and we have always had a connection. You know. You see. I thank you. Love you.
Hello Pam and thank you for your honesty. Your word have come at the right time. I too have had to repent today for partnering with a company when my spirit was telling me not too. I thank God that the participants at the workshop were not able to pick up on the bad energy that was in the room. I have repented and learned my lession and I too will never every give away what it has taken me year to create. The situation has motivated me to go to the next level and in all things that I do I want people to see the God in me. Thanks again for sharing. I really need to hear your story.
Renee
Aww, Renee. Thank you… Yes, we have to learn to not over ride the voice of God with so much techno noise. God bless you.
Pam, I have admired your ability to brand yourself and others, from afar. I have also been preparing to utilize your services when I am ready and can afford you. I remember seeing you form the new ‘partnership’ and thought to myself, “Wow, she is moving with a heavy hitter!” As I was told about your new partner from a friend of mine years ago. I believe that your recent revelation is just that- a revelation. It’s that no one is created like you are, and that He alone gives promotion. Your courage to share your story and ‘repent’ is encouraging and a reminder that no one has to give up being who they are to succeed. Keep doing you. Its being watched, emulated and admired. At least it is from one observant person in South Bend, IN. God bless you in all you do.
Gil, thank you for your comment. Your comments are appreciated.
And yes, I am moving with a heavy hitter… Jesus!! So are You!
! Praise God.
Pam, you have spoken for many and blessings to you for being brave enough to share. Last year I had to pull back and regroup. My business was picking up and instead of me sticking to what was working I begin listening to experts and folks who appeared like they meant well. Next thing I knew my clients were doing things I hadn’t booked for them to do, but all my “helpers” were stirring my pots for me without my permission. God shared with me that I had given them permission. I gave them the keys to my house.
But God is good. The correct road has a few pebbles, but it is full of light to guide us.
Yes, so many times we learn what God has been trying to show us all the time. Thank you Dee. God bless you too my sistah!
May God bless and reward you. God will turn the tables on the enemy, for he meant it to not only harm you but thousands of others. Watch what happens in the next several months for the praise will all go to him. This is just the turning of the ship.
Oh my… I am in tears. Thank you so much. God is so amazing. I was not sure what the reaction would be ..but God said just do it. He told me to say… “have to repent” …. And he would give me the rest of the words to say/write.
I feel so free. Thank you.
Pam – I’m in tears too. I admire and appreciate your transpareny. Thanks for sharing what was on your heart. Your words have come at a perfect time to minister to my own heart. It’s been many years since we’ve seen each other at ICRS, but know you are thought of often with fondness. Blessings, Lori
Pam, You have the most sincere heart of almost anyone I have EVER met. The fact that you were transparent helps us to have even more trust in you. It is easy to believe in someone like that. Love you much! Keep marketing the message and helping others to do so.
Smooches!
Love ya,
Bridghette
Peaches! Awww, thank you, that means so much. You know where I started with this and to have us still are connected warms my heart. Love you.
I was just saying to someone this week that i literally watched you grow before my eyes. (Obviously not overnight) but through years of prayer and diligent effort. It’s amazing to see how our little girls have now blossomed into beautiful young women! . We need to get together soon! I missed the Who’s Who event at the Westin the other night, had tickets to go but ended up having to work that night.
Love you my sister
Pam,I appreciate your honesty. We all can learn from each other. Forgetting those things that are behind and reach for those things that are before….keep moving forward. At one time or the other we all regret some things or some decisions that we have made but, we learn from our own mistakes. Thank God that He is a God or more than a second chance. Keep it moving!!
Thank you Linda. Yes, God is a God of forgiveness and encouragement! Blessings to you.
Dear Pam,
I too, like so many others was encouraged and inspired by your confession. I took a workshop with you in 2005 or 2006 at the GPCWC in Pennsylvania and walked away greatly encouraged and impressed. My very first book was about to be published, and I knew your ministry was God directed and wished I could have afforded your services as a publicist (I still hope one day that will be a reality). You are excellent at what you do and God has blessed you with many talents. And you’re right, God does equip us to do the work He has assigned us.
God Bless and Best Wishes.

You rock Mabel. Keep doing it.
I think I followed you into the business. But i recently got out myself because I saw the same signs. Something told me you were not a part of the bad stuff. I am glad we bith got out before it was too late.
Thank you Andrea. I didn’t have access to the lists to let you personally know. God has downloaded so much wisdom … The next phase is going to be awesome. God bless you.
Thanks for the comment and confirmation.
Thank you Mabel. Yes, I remember that conference. What a blessing speaking with you then. You need anything, just let me know. God is opening doors for his Children.
Pam,
Protecting your brand is hard sometimes. As they say all that glitters isn’t gold. I found that out a few years back when I had to make a major decision with SORMAG. I’m sure it cost me a lot of money but it was the right decision for my brand and I’m glad I made the decision for me. At the time I thought it was the end of SORMAG. A friend had to remind me years later, that I’m still here.
One of the things about business is learning from our mistakes and picking ourselves up and moving forward. As a child of God I always say these are the times Jesus is carrying us. Hold on girl and know God is always in CONTROL, especially when we think we are.
Thanks Lashaunda… We been thru the fire and we have come and don’t even smell like folk. Praise God. It pays to do right . Love what you have done for self published authors. You are a trail blazer.
When I think of you, Pam, I think of a Proverbs woman through and through. “Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come”. Your reputation and your integrity are the billboard on which your character stands. You might have been shaken a little, but you’re strong and your brand will withstand this for certain. Praying for your complete and speedy recovery…wait, it’s already done
Keep going. – xoxo, Tanya
Yes, thank you Tanya. So sorry about this who whole thing…and glad you saw the real deal before it was too late also. You rock Tanya and so blessed to have met you online.
Yes, another confirmation… The Lord said Recovery. Thank you Lord!
Recovery.
Dearest Pam tears of joy were shed as I read what you said from your heart and not just your head…I feel you and the good part is while man looks at the outer appearance God always looks at the heart and your heart has always been pure before the Lord with a zeal and passion to help others so the gates of hell could not prevail against the protective shell that guards your life!
You are stepping out of the boat onto the water and my humble advice is to keep your eyes fixed on the master and your hand in His.
I am excited to reconnect with you after the disconnect that was caused by this partnership that you have wisely and elegantly articulated the truth, the truth and nothing but the truth about!
Sooooo please keep me posted on what you are doing as I know it is Awesome and I would love to be a part of you again.
Grace, Peace, and Blessings with lots of love, Pastor Rosalind Y. Tompkins
Pastor Rosalind, you have blessed me beyond words. I know that hearing God is the most important thing in my life. I am overjoyed to hear from you. I think of you often and your ministry of hope.
Hope. Yes, hope. Thank you Pastor Rosalind.
Thank you my dear sister and marketing/PR expert for your integrity, realness and testimony. I look forward to your continued efforts and progress in fulfilling your God’s destiny for your life and business.
Blessings and hugs! Yolanda
Thank you Yolanda. God is doing a new thing and I have hope. Jesus is Lord. This situation has taught me so much. I am grateful.
Pam Perry,
I’d like to first thank you for being honest, real, vulnerable, and BOLD. It takes a lot to admit that you’ve made a mistake, but to admit it when you really don’t have to, communicates a lot about your integrity. Those that know your heart never confused your partnership with your passion to help Gods people. Your reputation speaks for itself, which is why the lack of integrity your business partner had could never jeopardize it!
I was in a similar situation with a business partner that cost me $30,000, but I understood that however I handle it would dictate if God could trust me or not. Certain things we get upset about communicates that we made it about us when it never was. When God puts you in a position to Glorify him, regardless to what happens, the focus should always be on pleasing him because he blessed us to even be in the situation (2 Tim 2). I admire the way you communicated your situation, it really shows your level of class and your representation of the most high! You didn’t expose the pass partner, but focused on what you could control. I believe that Romans 8:18 is more than appropriate for your situation!
Whenever you’re doing anything significant for our God, there will always be challenges. Just keep in mind that the devil doesn’t throw stones at dead birds. You are a mighty warrior for the kingdom, so challenges will come. Always remember… The battle is not lost unless you accept defeat! ~Chris Cannon
Chris, thank yo for your comment. It made me realize that this situation IS BIGGER than me. Love what you said here: Certain things we get upset about communicates that we made it about us when it never was.
Thank you. I so love this. It’s my confirmation from God.
Reminds me of Yolanda Adam’s song: The Battle is not yours, it’s the Lords!
Thanks Chris. God bless,
Pam
You said it, ‘True business is based upon trust and relationships’. And likewise, business and relationships cannot be broken by a mere hiccup. I must say, when I listened in on a webinar, I wondered what this partner brought to your skill set? That was a good analogy–Dorothy and the Wizzard of Oz. And like Dorothy, you need no wizzard–God has provided and will continue to provide for you.
Jacquie, thank you….sometimes it takes “pulling back the curtain” to realize that the Wizard of OZ is really not REAL… I thank God for revelation.
Jacquie, I want you to get a GRAVATAR ok for all your blog posts. It’s free. Just google it
(me, always coaching) Love you!
Confession is indeed good for the soul. I am so glad to see that you came back home, back to you roots back to where you can and have made a difference. I understand the dilemma you faced all too well. I have partner with people only to discover that I was being used. The said [art was that many of them called themselves “Christians.” The lack of integrity that some people have is sad.
That being said, I just want to thank you for your sincerity. Thank you for your wisdom, knowledge and friendship. Your gift has truly made room for you and your confession will expand your territory beyond your imagination. Welcome Home!
Yes, just like Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ…there’s no place like home!
Thank Donald!
Pam, thank you for sharing. Your honesty shows your integrity! Those that know and love you support you! I love you and thanks for being the best you God created you to be! You are #1 in my book!
Thank you Monica. This was a phase I would never want to repeat … But I learned a lot. One thing that interesting is people respond to truth rather than hype. I’ve only been about serving not sales….and God blessed and still does. Thanks for your support.
I know Pam Perry and I know your heart. I have and will continue to refer authors to you because you are the best. You pushed me when I needed a push. I have been in your shoes, that is why on each issue of TCP Magazine at the very bottom I have “Don’t Alter The Vision”. Keep it moving Sis and don’t look back. Your friend in Carolina.
Peggy! You amaze me. I have always loved you and your consistent messages thru the magazine. Amazing what god does whenever we are faithful. Thanks for your support.
Pam Perry,
Wow, it sounds like you have been through a trial. Yikes! III John, vs. 2: beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.
Len Hill
New Directions, Inc.
Yes. Thanks Len, you know 3 John 2 is how I usually sign my cards and letters. Yes Lord, my soul says yes.
Thanks for your comment.
Lance Meadows Posted on I been telling mylesf since last night I think I want to go for a jog this evening; its been a while . This post must be a sign that I really do need to throw on my running shoes also and hit the track (especially since I missed National Running Day) tonite. Thanks for the inspiration Leslie!
Pam, thanks for your transparency. In a world where people are faking the funk left and right, it’s so refreshing to hear someone truly keep it real. I’ve not worked with you, but have been following you on FB and twitter for over a year. I also had the pleasure of meeting you at Blogalicious ’11 and your spirit was so sweet. I’m so glad you listened to the voice of God and got back on track. I can truly attest to the fact that all that glitters is not gold. I have seen behind the scenes the folks who talk a big game and look like they have it all, when they don’t. God had to show me as well to look to him and not chase fame or a quick shot to the top. He is the only one that can increase us and when when get our eyes off of Him, like Peter, we will sink! I know God is going to continue blessing you in major ways Pam. Keep rocking it lady!!
Tamara, that’s right! Thank you much. You know what? When I stepped out here to do this biz FULL TIME in 2000…. I called myself, “Pam PETER Perry”…but I better stop that… cause Peter sank (he was saved) but he still was sinking AFTER he took his eyes of Jesus.
I am going to call myself, Pam Perry, the BELIEVER, period.
No matter what, Lord, I will listen and obey …immediately!
Thanks Tamara! YOU Go girl. See you soon?
Blogalicious rocks!
Pam, this is a powerful lesson and testimony that will bear fruit ten fold for so many others that want to grow their business fast. But like anything that God creates, it takes time and you reminded us of that in through your experience. I know you are a woman of God with a clear purpose and I know you will be victorious in helping others get to their purpose and reach the world. Thank you for sharing this powerful lesson with all of us!
That you Rev. Davis…yes, anything worth have takes time, patience and FAITH. God is faithful. We can always learn new things – but if it not with integrity – I DON’T WANT IT!
Thanks for sharing your story Pam. There is a lot of lack of integrity out there in the internet marketing world. People who look big and shiny – but are always looking for “New” audiences are usually doing so because they’ve tarnished their relationship with their previous audience. I love your energy, your message, and YOUR GIFTS will make room for you. See you online!
Tai! Yes, that’s it. People who have “tarnished their relationships with their previous audience” are always on the prowl looking for new ones.
That is so sad but true. I thank God that I have had people on my list as customers for over 10 years. I remember that this person once told me that you can always expect people to leave you after 3 months. THat was red flag #1. LOL I should of run for the hills then! Lesson learned. Thanks Tai, I appreciate you! God bless.
After reading your email sounds to me like, “All is well.” God allowed for a mid-course correction, you gained some valuable wisdom, and you’re now more squarely on your way to bigger, better, and greater things. When He is for you, it’s all good, even when it seems bad. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks Minister Melvin, yes. Through it all, I now know GOD Is really large and in charge … and all I have to do is be willing and obedient.
Thanks for your comment.
Thank you so much for your integrity. I too went through a similar situation. BUT God…
Pam we love you and appreciate what you have done for the Body of Christ as a whole. As one sister said previously, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper”. The best is yet to come!
Pastor Tracie, thank you, I know you KNOW. We both have had this happen to us? Wow. I love your ministry and your faithfulness, you stay the course my sister. Love you! Call me anytime!
Pam,
When God led me to phone you a couple of times a few months ago, this information was what I was attempting to relay.
Wow. I wish you had gotten thru! But God…as Pastor Tracie said… The Word of the Lord has spoken today!
Pam, I am FIRM believer that NO ONE can “steal” what God has anointed me to do for Him. They can always “imitate”, but can NEVER orignate what God has put in my heart:-) I have had several companies to view my website and “imitate” my packages, ideas, etc., but I look at this as a compliment! If God has not called someone to a certain gift, or industry and they try to profit or benefit off of someone else’s idea, they will NOT prosper in it! It will be very short-lived. The anointing makes the difference. Just keep doing what you are doing and surely ask God for discernment when it comes to partnership. I HAVE to hear from Holy Spirit before I partner with anyone! We have to guard what God has entrusted to us. I see this as a redefining of Pam Perry. THE BEST IS YET TO COME FOR YOU!!!!
Thank you Deborah, I receive that. YOUR name speaks volumes. Yes, I am praying for discernment, that is so key in this season of the internet!
YOu sound like Brenda (she said the same thing about imitators…)
It’s a form of flattery. BUT God only makes originals.
God bless you and thank you.
I really appreciate your transparency, Pam. It’s easy to get to a point where you feel like you can’t get to your next level without help, or someone to fill in the gaps for skills that we may be lacking. Especially when we have a desire to reach more and more people. It’s a good reminder that we have to seek God in ALL things – big and small. Another thing I’ve learned is that God’s favor can trump “industry standard practice” any day of the week. Keep praying for creativity, that you’ll pioneer new methods, not simply follow them. Looking forward to seeing what’s ahead!
I love you Isha! thank you, I’m in tears. I love what you said, “God’s FAVOR can trump industry standard practice” any day… AMEN. So it be written, Girl, I’m down with that!
Thank you Isha…you’ve seen my revolution from BART to now.
God is amazing. xoxoxo
Lesson learned. What would have been a shame is if you’d not come clean with yourself and God. He already knew, but that’s why HE died for us. He’s smiling at you now! Let the blessings flow!
Amen!Thank you Yvonne!Yes, he died for us and no need to keep beating ourselves up! Keep it moving..and just repent!
Dear Pam
It has been mention in so many words, no weapon can be formed against you. God was always in your corner, he was waiting for the right time to pull you out of the pit into the pulpit. Your voice will always be heard. I thought something was funny. When i was giving your partner and you praise. He didn’t acknowledge and comment on his strengths versus your strenghts. The conversation was too strong. So, I am glad I didn’t sign up with your former partner. God has GREAT things for you. Peace and Blessings
Wow, I didn’t even know you spoke to him. This is such revelation…deepeer than I even thought. Thanks Renee. God is teaching me in this season something entirely new and it’s really interesting… from the pit to the PULPIT. OK? Is that what this is all about? WOW. God, I’m available to you.
Thanks Renee. Love.
Thanks for being the model of integrity and transparency. This is one of the few times that I am happy I procrastinated about following up (on the consultation I received from your former partner).
There is no spot where GOD is not and so many of us continue to be blessed by your willingness to share your journey
Yours in success
Thank you Dr. Velonda, I had NO idea you even spoke to him. Oh, my, please, you know me. Always come to me personally!
God bless you. Miss you!
Take care.
xoxoxo
This came to mind Renee: “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips.” Proverbs 27:2
Precious Pam,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and actions concerning your brand and former business partner. As I continued with the webinar, your absence was noticed and raised my suspicions. Bethatasitmay, you confirmed it all in this notification to we your blessed followers. Your freedom, my sister-in-Christ, just set me free…, and others. Suddenly, I know the next set of steps to take.
Much love to you. I’m with you, still. And “To God be the Glory” (Andre Crouch) for things He has done in perfecting your faith.
Thank you Minister Grimes! You forgiveness means the world to me. Thank you for your comment. God has bigger and better things in store.
We are keeping it moving.
A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold. Right?
Pam we appreciate your sharing. Just know that when one door closes or if WE chose to close a door that another one will definitely open. By following God and what he tells you to do, one can never go wrong.
Thank you Adra, I appreciate that INSIGHT! For sure.
Pam, I Bless the Name of Jesus for you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the email and I truly thank God for Delivering you from the plot of the enemy. Many are the afflictions of the RIGHTEOUS but he delivereth them out of them all. You are a blessing to the body of Christ so the enemy will be after you all the time. You be Encouraged and know that God and a whole lot of people Love, respect and have your back both naturally and spiritually.
Thank Apostle. I receive that Word.
Pam:
Been there, Done that.
My ANOINTED Magazine effort was the cross I had to bear. But I repented, I learned from it, and I kept it moving. Just like you’re doing. Please know that this is only one step, one lesson on your journey toward an awesome fulfillment of God’s purpose in your life. I…and most people that have watched or worked with you…KNOW that you are a gifted woman of God and that yes, all that you need is inside you. Keep pushing. Keep praying. Keep going. You have people praying with you and for you.
Grace and Peace,
Tracey Michae’l Lewis-Giggetts
Thank you Lil Mama, Tracey!
I needed your comment today… God bless you and thanks for the comment!
You ARE a child of God, you honor and worship Him in spirit and in truth, therefore, I knew He would eventually show/tell you, because He said, “My sheep… hear MY voice.” We all make mistakes, but the great part of going through the process is knowing when you have people who sincerely pray and rejoice with you from this point on. Onward and Upward my friend.
Regina, I love that, yes “My sheep hear MY voice.” I thank God for people like you who have spoken into my life and who are authentic and REAL!
Love you REGINA, thank you.
I have not had this happen to me, but it has happened my former employer. One of the two partners of the firm acted in the same manner, and as a result, it not only killed a really great company, but now me and my coworkers are in court against them for thousands of dollars in payroll that was never paid to us.
I am really glad that you decided to write this publicly. I know you meant it as an apology, but really it is a life lesson that all of us entrepreneurs can learn through your experiences (book coming soon?) :- )
While I am not always as active as I would like to be in social media, I have been a fan of yours for years. I am grateful for your perseverance, your transparency, your passion, and the purity behind why you do what you do.
Thank you for being a continual encouragement through this thing called entrepreneurship. I look forward to seeing the next level of your ministry!!!
Grace & Peace,
ellis
Ellis, thank you! Yes, you know books well… with over 1/2 million new ones a year (including ebooks), I never really thought about a book (other than instructional), but the book I have experienced is slowly creeping out.
Lessons learned on this road of Ministry Marketing has been, well, a book!
God bless you and let’s talk soon… voice to voice. So I can help you with the book store ministry.
Totally understand. The wolves are looking more like sheep. We have all experienced something like this on one level or another. I pray that your transparency will be rewarded 100 fold. Be blessed and keep moving forward.
Thanks Julia, I receive the 100 fold!
Thank you for your transparency. I am glad you are embracing your value and leaving the land of OZ because you see there is no wizard other than the one inside you. Congrats!
BOB, yes, there is NO place like HOME…and home is where the heart is!
xoxoxo
Pam,
Society is filled with people who engage in the art of seduction. The bait may come in the form of lust of the eye, lust of the flesh or the pride of life.
I applaud both your candor and transparency as they will inspire others to remember the importance of prayer, meditation and the gift of intuition, which is the still, small voice of God.
I am filled with gratitude that you took the time to look within and fully embrace the gift that God gave to YOU. Continued blessings to you.
Thank you Kadena, you are so right. When we hear the “still, small voice” we must acknowledge it and ignore everything else!
I learned.
Pam, you are going to a new level because of this. This is a prime example of what Ron Carpenter, Jr. said in his book, The Necessity of an Enemy. The enemy that tried to hijack your brand was necessary for your business to grow to greater dimension that it was destined to reach. Just as Jesus needed Judas to propel him into position to accomplish what He came to earth to do, you too had to encounter your “Judas.” Although this was not pleasant, we all know that none of us hear God perfectly all the time. Know that we love you and see you just the same as if it never happened. We can discern your heart and your desire to help get the Gospel out to the masses. We can not wait to see the success that God has in store for you up ahead as a result of this situation. You will have a testimony, Girl!
Tracey, thank you – and I’m going to get that BOOK. WOW, I never thought of this ordeal in that way before. Thank you! God bless you…..I do have a testimony – cause that was a BIG TEST!
Hey Mrs. Pam,
I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for someone to just be open and honest like this. Surely it can’t be just me that sees these things happening, I’ve often said to myself.
Finally someone else gets it, as you so cleanly stated. “Never be intimidated by those who know technology better than you. Just because they can throw up a flashy website and write some sizzling copy, doesn’t mean you don’t know how to connect with YOUR customer and how to SERVE them.”
I have come across too many people who say it’s this way or not at all and thats how it is, as if they don’t know God is real and alive. Doing things from self centered hearts and false motives.
I’ve had so many people look at me side ways when I would help them to figure out how to do the plan God gave them His way, because they think Im trying to puff them up or something.
They’ve come across so many people who don’t believe in them and what they are doing, that when they meet me or someone else who encourages them to go for it they think its fake.
There’s so much I could say about this open letter, but I will simply say THANK YOU for now!
By the way, I’ve always chosen to walk away and move on.
Andrea, that sounds like a book! Do it! Thank you for your comments, I appreciate you.
God bless…
Pam
As we live this life, we will all make mistakes every now and then especially when it comes to trusting people. We learn the lesson and well… keep it moving. I am glad that the bad partnership revealed itself before it could hurt you any further. Romans 8:28 says all things work together for the good of them who love the Lord- those whom are the called, according to His purpose. This situation will work out to.
I appreciate your transparency. I’m sure many will be helped because of your ability to say, “This is what happened.” It also shows that you value those whom you work with enough to be honest. As far as your good name… it’s still good. Know that you have many people in your corner cheering you on, believing in you, and yes, waiting to work with you! The amazing work you have done and continue to do speak for itself. Praying for you.
Wendy M. Reynolds
Wendy, thank you, I appreciate you. Yes, Romans 8:28 is what I am standing on….. I know it will work out – I just want the clients to know that too.
Thank you Mrs Perry for this, thank you for being so transparent! I have learned a lot from you and this is another lesson learned. This is powerful and you show us how staying in God’s face can give you “good success!” May God continue to prosper your family physically and spiritually we love you!!
Thank you Tina. Your support means a lot.
Pam, I’m so proud of you! It takes great courage and a “quieted spirit” to hear the Holy Spirit speak to you, saying STOP daughter..DANGER ahead–then act. I know that your furure is brighter than you can ever imagine Pam. Inspired and Greater Works are going to come forth from you…(I made adjustments months ago..my Spirit said…whoa…)
May God keep you always – Blessings and Peace! I’ll be watching and cheering you on!
Yolanda C.
Thanks Yolanda! Yes, God’s got our back. God bless you. Thank you!
Pam, thank you for having the courage and power to step out with your experience. You have no idea how much this has helped others who may be too ashamed or prideful to admit to their own missteps. We’ve all made them but like driving the wrong way down a one-way street once you turn around, you’re back on track. Continue to stand strong and follow God. Your heart and integrity have come throughout your career.
Jeanette, thank you. I like that, “once you turn around, you’re back on track.” Thanks for the encouraging words. God bless.
Integrity is critical in business. You lose that – you have nothing!
I’m so sorry you had this experience. Martha Beck says all bad things are meant for good. You learned from the experience and have the perfect attitude about it, no anger, just get back on your path. We know that many very successful people have had a similar incident somewhere along the way. They too, let go, let God and kept on steppin’.
Thanks Lynn. Yes, let go, let God.
I wondered what happened. I’m with Pastor Tompkins. You’re genuine concern and sincerity was lost for a minute and when you started sending stuff again I was like … what is going on…now I know. Glad you’re back. Be encouraged. I pray God kiss all you’re doing with more favor and have mercy on the other individual that this situation and what is to come will draw him into a full relationship with the Father. Everything happens for a reason.
Yes, shawneda, I’m back. Thank you for the love?
UPDATE: God works all things together for your good. He did it. God restored relationships and we’re having the best year ever! God is faithful!
