Still standing! Me and Hubby celebrated 17 years of marriage on March 23. Wow. A lot has changed in 17 years. Some things remind me how LONGGGGGG we've been together. Why has our marriage worked: 1. We really LOVE each other.... (I am crazy about Marc Perry - I am still starry-eyed in love) 2. We really LIKE each other. There is no one in the world I'd rather spend time with. He is my best friend. (And he's cute). 3. We would do anything for each other. I cook, clean and wash his underwear - whatever and he is always there for me. Marc is my protector, my hero, my superman.

I'm not exactly making any New Year's resolutions because I've been known to fail miserably at them. But I am planning for a fabulous 2012. What are your plans? How will this year be better than last?

Mr. Incredible gave up his weekend football game and agreed to take me out. I'm so happy we finally got a chance to spend some time alone. This date was long overdue.

I love my family. I really do. I love my husband's family too. We're are all one big happy unit. Besides, families are fun. They put the fun in dysfunctional, right? *Smiling*

I have friends since grade school, media friends, sister-friends, partner friends, running-buddy friends, entrepreneurial friends, movie friends, career mentors, “big sis” friends, counseling friends, writing friends, silly friends, mommy friends, cheerleader friends, book friends and really cool facebook friends – but we all have one thing in common: We all value God, Family and our Work.

I'm not one of those women who pretends that her marriage is perfect. I love my husband; but he gets on my nerves sometimes. And I realize that I'm probably the most aggravating, spoiled, hard-to-get along with wives God ever created.

Here's how to network in social media: 1. Tell me who you are. OK, I don't know this young lady from a hill of beans. Just a postage stamp photo on Facebook. I don't know type of degree she has or from what school. I guess she thought I would flip over to her profile and check her out. NOT. Busy, don't have time. Hey, she's looking for help - why should I do the work. Help me, help you. Make it easy though.

I have thrown a complete and utter hissy fit. You've never seen a temper tantrum this big. My computer crashed and I was flabbergasted.

I realized I was falling in love with The Husband (The Boyfriend at the time!) about six months after we started dating. I had gotten ill with a nasty head cold. Romantic, right?
